The mission of the Durham Volunteer Fire Company is to ensure the quality of life, serving present and future generations, by providing fire protection, fire prevention education, and emergency medical services. Our members are motivated by the tradition of pride through interaction with our community, compassionate service and an atmosphere that encourages professionalism.

Would you like to join? Let us know! We are always looking for volunteers to help us better serve the citizens of Durham. You can drop in on most Sunday mornings or Tuesday evenings around 7pm to learn more and pick up a membership application. Can we find you?
One of our biggest challenges during an emergency can be finding you. If your house number is not easily visible from the street it may take us precious extra minutes to find you when minutes count. For only $15, there is a reflective sign program available that benefits local organizations. Click below for more information and to download the reflective sign order form. We are happy to help with the installation!
